I usually get 4.5 to 5 hours on a 2015 MacBook Pro 13″ model. The biggest power drains for me are Chrome and Civilization V, they really suck battery. A MacBook Air gave me the best battery life, not having a retina display must make a difference, but once you get used to a Retina screen I can’t imagine going back to not having one.

I wouldn't say the stated 14/21hrs are 100% realistic, but 10-12 hours with Firefox and other smaller apps (VLC, Telegram, Mail, etc.) running.

My base-model 14" M1 Pro gets really good battery life unless I fire up Zoom. I've tried it twice so far. 1st time - 1hr43m Zoom meeting drained battery from 100% to 38%.
